An atypical place

A “happening snack bar” you’re better off skipping. Two and a half stars. Le Shack’s limited menu and even more limited service staff (poor lady was running around servicing the entire place) makes it a place - unless you’re in great company and forget your order and don’t care what you eat - to pass on and go to another of the wonderful places around. I was first given the typical Parisian snub “oh! No reservation? It’ll be hard to seat you”, then one minute later I’m at a table. The red wine, billed as “tannic” tasted more like a corked 2$ bottle than anything done by a sane winemaker. The waitress, seeing my face, agreed to change it, I’m not sure she did, she came back with what supposedly was a different wine that tasted exactly the same. I didn’t argue. It took forever (by Parisian standards) to take my order and even longer (again by Parisian standards) for it to arrive. The cheese platter I ordered was a sorry excuse of a few bits and ends of cheese blocks. Tho I was famished, I left half of it behind, as I did my wine. I do not recommend this place. Paris has so much more to offer, settling for a place like this is an error one should not make.
